(NSFW) A question about the horizontal mambo and the late 30's (look behind the green door)

Asked by Jude (32204points) December 28th, 2011

Why does sex get so much better when you reach your mid 30’s. It’s easier to achieve.

Hot damn (multiple hot damns)..

Truly.

Because it’s no longer such a game/significant seeking by either men or women, and both are just into enjoying their bodies. Plus women come into their prime sexually, while men finally gain some interest in pleasing their partner.

Probably because your lover is much more experienced then, and so are you.

Speak for yourself. Personally, I can’ t agree with the premise.

I was much more confident by my 30s too. Wasn’t so worried about how I appeared to others. Plus I knew what I liked and what I didn’t like.

At some point, usually in the 30s many people realize that previous attempts to suppress perfectly reasonable human enjoyment is bullshit. So they let it go. Others, sadly, become repressed. Too bad.

@rebbel I’ll be 44 on January 14th. Yah better be right dude! Hrrr. ( oh wait, I’m a guy… )

@rebbel What’s it like. Being 44?

My theory is this: As you approach the end of your child-bearing years, your body is trying it’s hardest to get pregnant – so if you enjoy sex more than ever, you’re more likely to get pregnant from engaging in it often.

You’ve realized that finding a partner isn’t going to make it any better.

@FutureMemory: it’s not just your theory. About a year ago I read in a magazine that as a woman reaches the end of her child bearing years, she gets more horny (not the technical term used by scientists, of course) in order to maximize the potential for getting pregnant.
