Who is the target market or who actually reads GQ?

I am straight and I love GQ. The articles are bad ass and most of the clothing is pretty awesome.
I think almost any mid to high level professional or any male secure enough with his sexuality can relate to many, many things in their magazine.

I used to read GQ for the hot guys (I’m female) and also the articles were always more intelligent than most women’s mags.

Here are the demographics of the magazine:

73% male vs. female
88% between 14 and 49 (divided almost equally into thirds)

Gay guys and metrosexual straight men and the occasional female who just looks at it to look at the fellows and is not interested in the products they’re selling.

Thank you all and lurve for your responses. I didn’t notice any really intriguing articles to read, perhaps I was blinded by all those hot young guys, heheheh. It (almost) made me forget I was at the dentist’s office, until my name was called of course!

@rooeytoo: Wouldn’t it have been Twilight Zone if the dentist turned in his chair to be revealed as one of the models from the GQ you had been ::ahem:: reading?

@cprevite – if that were the case I might learn to enjoy going to the dentist! But alas, I have seen some nice looking dentists but never one as pretty as the models in GQ!
