What are the things a first time date might say that would really please you?
Compliments on your physical looks? Your intellect? Your work? There should be lots of other things where you would feel glad hearing your date say something about, so what are these and what specific phrases would please you upon hearing them?

“Is that a walrus in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me”?
“Let’s go down in the washroom right now”
and catch ghonnarea from the toilet seat
“All I’ve ever wanted is to have my head shaved by a beautiful woman.”
@ANef_is_Enuf Reminds me of that seinfeld episode with george and that maid who doesn’t speak english XD
You have pretty blue eyes (?)
I’m easy to please. :)
The dates I have most enjoyed have been ones where my date was interested enough to ask me interesting, intelligent questions about myself and my life.
Sincere compliments never hurt, though.
So, let’s discuss zombie movies.
I love to read. I read like 10 books a week.
I’m not going on a date anytime soon, that’s for sure… but if I did, I’d perk up at:
So, let’s talk about words and language…
or
So, what do you like about art…
or
“If we shadows have offended, think but this; and all is mended that you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear and this weak and idle theme no more yielding but a dream…”
I’d like my first date to be comfortable with silence. That would really impress me.
I also like witty banter—that feeling when you are riffing off someone… and you start to develop a unique vocabulary and rapport. That would impress me too.
“Let’s skip the Laser Concert, and go watch a Marx Brothers movie.”
“I don’t like to spend money.”
At this age?
“I admire a woman who keeps a medely of Tums and Tylenol in her handbag.”
“You don’t appear to have that much unwanted hair.”
“Your age spots look like freckles.”
“You’re a perfect woman: shade in the summer and warmth in the winter.”
“Looks like bleaching is really doing the trick to enhance those buck teeth of yours.”
@smilingheart1: Hah! That was a very warm and funny answer.
Seeing as I’m married, there won’t be any first dates, but if there were I’d like to hear…
“I know you were planning to take me out for an expensive dinner, but I just put some chocolate chip cookies in the oven. Whataya say we stay in, eat those, and read some comic books?”
I’ve liked the compliments about my playfulness and being easy to be comfortable around.
From the six guys I already dated this week, you are, untill now, the sweetest.
