Which brands of protein shake are best for women?
I need to buy a new jar of protein powder for post-workout shakes. I’ve been using the Jillian Michaels brand because it seemed to be very obviously marketed for women. I’m content with it, but I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations. I’m looking to gain lean muscle (not bulk up!) and burn some fat; I work out every day.

I don’t know much about various protein powders, but if you were looking for one that doesn’t have any added stimulants / is pretty much as “natural” as you can get I’d suggest Solgar’s Whey Protein powder. It seems to be on the higher end of the cost spectrum but it’s good stuff, and likely better for you than the generic bodybuilding ones (and no bulking!)
This isn’t a protein shake, but if you blend frozen fruit, a dash of milk, and a package of silken tofu (YES, tofu instead of yogurt) together it makes a delicious, natural, protein-rich smoothie. I promise the tofu doesn’t change the flavor or texture. Frozen fruit eliminates the need for ice
I have a friend that does professional modeling. She swears by www.CNP-Professional.com. Her body is to die for, but she obviously hits the gym a lot too.
Just curious, what will make a protein shake better for women in particular?
Is there an aspect of the proteins included? Or minerals like calcium?
