I’m sure we’re all better at ‘sharpening’ certain areas – physical, mental, social, spiritual – than others. Which are you good at? Which do you struggle with? Do you have any regular activities you’d suggest?

I sharpen the saw with mountain biking, hiking, yoga, or writing music. Anything that rewards you in the end. Basically I think the point is, don’t take a break to go get bombed at the pub, do something you will love that is constructive in the end also.
of course, i do enjoy getting bombed once in a while too though :)
I tried getting in to this once, but honestly found it too involved. It did inspire my current approach of taking 5 minutes in the morning to make a to-do list and 5 minutes at the end of the day to tick things off it and/or move things for another time.
I do like the idea of time to recharge and rewarding all your ‘roles’, but I figure I’m doing pretty well if I can do 1 thing a day that I’m only doing because I want to (not because I have to or someone else expects/needs me to). These things can be anything from puttering with my website, go for a walk to take pictures, work on my college course, go swimming, go to the pub, to gardening or watching a movie.
