Do you ever spend more time PMing on Fluther than answering questions?

No, I really haven’t used PM very much.

Dang guess I’m out of the Fluther loop, nobody ever PMs me. lol but then again I never PM anybody either really.

Some days I barely interact on the threads at all, I’m so busy yammering away with my buddies behind the scenes. Then I’m startled that so few questions caught my eye because I’ve spent all day here! Got anybody we wanna gossip about, Little Penguin? ;-)

I spend more time answering question, but I like PMing too.

Not really. I use PM every now and then, but I usually just answer questions. Or looking through really really old questions, from before I came here. :)

I exchange PM’s on a pretty infrequent basis, so no.
I’d say I average one or two a week, maybe. I do enjoy the few “regulars” that I chat with now and then, but, I am not one that wants to nurture a bunch of daily communications.

Many times, @janbb, PMing is all I do in Flutherland. PMs from friends and acquaintances here are usually what I check in for. Then, I go to threads.

I don’t use the PM’s very much at all, two or three times a month at most and I never use the chat rooms.

@Coloma I don’t usually either but today they have been flying thick and fast.

I don’t PM very much, usually just when I have a specific question for someone, or want to offer some support to another Flutherer.

I rarely use the PM function.

Honestly, I don’t understand the pm dynamic. I know I can get involved in pms. People pm me from time to time. They respond if I pm back. I suspect I could get involved in a lot of pms, but I don’t really try and I think I sometimes actively try not to get involved. I like my work on the boards, so to speak. I like speaking publicly, so to speak.

I once asked a question about how often other people pmed, wondering if maybe I was as unpopular as I thought I was. Back in those days, I was looking for excuses to believe I was unloved. Now, I feel more loved, so it isn’t as important to have a constant rain of pms in order for me to feel like I matter.

So, no. I don’t spend more time on pms. I think I could increase my supply of pms if I wanted to, but it does take a lot of energy to maintain those relationships. It seems more relaxing to hang out in the public sphere of fluther rather than the private sphere. For the moment, anyway.

No. Not that much PMimg for me either. I guess I’m not in that loop:p. Sigh!

I rarely use PMing at all, when I do it’s pretty much just congratulating someone for hitting 5k.

I just sent a PM to a funny Flutherer that I haven’t seen around for a while. Sometimes I do that If I notice someone who regularly posts, hasn’t done so in a long while.

I pm irregularly, I like to pat people on the back sometimes or badger accounts that haven’t been active for a awhile. I have had some fun private conversations with a variety of jellies…for me it kinda makes the difference between being a jelly acquaintance and being a jelly friend.

I don’t spend much time PMing at all to be honest. Is there are whole underworld on Fluther just for PMers?

I pm more than answer questions these days.

I pm with people. Mostly it will be one or two messages back and forth on an occasional basis and then there are some people I will occasionally have more of a chat with. I also send pms out of the blue sometimes to say “great answer!” or whatever if I have really loved something someone said. I am a chatterbox in real life though so… that’s just the way I am.

It is extremely rare that I PM somebody, or even respond to a PM unless it had something to do with one of my responses. I’ve received several negative PM’s over the past 2+ years which I tend to ignore.
