You know tapestry kind of things that are made out of fabric, possibly canvas, that people put on their walls as art pieces? Those things you can make yourself? What are they called?

Depends how they’re made and what type of thread. Tapestry, or cross-stitch, or needlepoint.
(shhhh don’t tell anyone but I do cross-stitch)
Just us iPhone people hanging around.
Aww guys, I want a name. What do you call the product of weaving/needlepoint/cross-stitch ?
Thanks!
Embroidered fabrics/embroidery .
@MilkyWay the products are just called the same name as the process. A piece of needlepoint, or a cross-stitch piece, or a tapestry. There isn’t a collective name for them (that I’m aware of). Textile art might cover all of them?
Oh, okay then :D
Thanks people!
I’ll just say textile art piece.
Nah, aren’t those like blankets?
Yes they are. People used to hang them on the walls as decoration and insulation.
Oh wow, I didn’t know that. That could come in handy, thanks :D
“Wall hanging” is a vague term that covers all textile art that hangs on a wall…
Quilting
Tapestry
Weaving
Needlepoint
Knitting
Crocheting
Hand-made lace
Braided rug
Hooking
Tatting
Embroidery
A ‘wall hanging’, of course.
Sorry, I was responding to the initial question, not quite sure how this site works yet…
