Why does my elbow still hurt?

I fell off my bike a few weeks ago and whacked my elbow pretty hard. I’ve done this dozens of times and it usually stops hurting within 3 or 4 days. It’s been at least 3 weeks and the big bone that pops out when you bend your elbow still hurts when it’s touched. Any ideas what is wrong with it?

Bone bruise? Fracture? Who knows? Why not get it examined by an expert?
You could have cracked or chipped it. Time to see the doctor and get an x-ray.
Do you feel a bump? You might have bursitis. I had that several years ago, and had to wear a pad for about 6 weeks.
It’s probably a bone bruise. Press firmly on the place it hurts. If you get a really sharp pain when you do that, it’s probably broken and you should see your doctor. Bruises heal themselves by reabsorbing the blood that makes the bruise. It may take a while and you can’t watch it heal like you can a bruise that’s more on the surface.
That’s a fracture of some sort. Feel for a chip of bone. If you feel that it will probably absorb itself. Broke my nose (twice), elbow and collarbone. Figure it will hurt 6 to 8 weeks.
