Does anyone here know anything about eyeliner tattoos?

Someone I know is getting this done, but I can’t see that this is a good idea. I’m wondering if, as you get older, the skin droops and the tat ends up somewhere much lower than the lashline. Does anyone know of someone that has had this done and the outcome of it?

I don’t know, but I’ve seen a lot of older women get it… I don’t know the physical effects but I do know that eventually the black will turn into dark green… if not properly done.
She has to go to a beauty specialist who specializes in permanent beauty tattoos.. I’m sure your friend already knows… The skin will eventually sag.
I know several women that have had it @chyna. Make up tats don’t last as long as they do elsewhere on your body. I can see your concern, but it drooping along with her skin as she ages will not be an issue.
She will need it done every 6–8 mos….that will become the issue. The women I know sign up for their next appointment just like the rest of us do for the dentist.
To me, it looks fine. I’d consider doing it. I’m not into tatoos (for myself), but as a make up replacement, it’s not a bad option.
My issue with it would be finding a really good artist. I’ve seen some good work, and some not so great work.
The last few years of my Grandmothers life were spent losing her mind. She was always a crazy type personality, risky and bold, but her later years pushed over the edge a few times. She’d gotten it in her head the idea that she’d grown tired of applying eyeliner every day. She didn’t have much time left and so wasting it on repetitive tasks was deemed unwise. Mildred decided to end her eyeliner routine once and for all. And after a final session with a Quick Dry Wide Tipped Cobalt Blue Permanent Sharpie Magic Marker available on sale from Office Depot, she never applied traditional eyeliner ever again. Her time now was spent on touching up the fading Sharpie.
She looked really weird.
@chyna : A friend of mine here had eyeliner tats done 10 years ago. They’re not quite as crisp now as they were new, but they still look pretty good. She was the age you are noe when she got them, and there has been no drooping or stuff.
Sounds like it’s no big deal then. @realeyesrealizereallies That is so funny. I just saw on the news today that a woman celebrating her 101th birthday got her ears pierced for the first time.
An aunt of mine and her two daughters had it done about 15yrs ago. The black has since faded to a greenish/black but there’s no bleeding, no drooping and that I know, they’ve not done any touch ups. Where I work, many older women come in with eyebrow, eyeliner and lipliner tattooing, most of it looks fine. I think the lipliner is the iffy one your eye goes to, seeing something not quite right.
