Can you post your bands music page?

Ahhhhhh. I do have a band.
But we only have one video, and the sound quality is terrible, because we don’t have good recording equipment. And it was really just for fun. XD
So… I’m nervous about posting it because my singing sounds terrible, even though it’s really not. Haha. But if you promise not to laugh, I might give it to you… >.<

Please keep in mind that we have bad equipment, this was just for fun, and I really am a good singer, even though this video points to the contrary.

Oh, dear, @AshLeigh , that really is a very poor quality recording. Are you sure that that is the video you want to be promoting on the internet where everyone can see and judge it?

Yes you did, @AshLeigh . My point is, that if you are trying to promote your band, this is not the best way to do it. If people see this and their first impression of you is this video, they might not want to come back for a second look. I’m sorry if your feelings get hurt by this, that is not my intention, I’m just calling it as I see it. I would wait to promote until you have a better recording that really showcases your talents. This thread has the potential to reach a number of people and the reality is not everyone will give it a second listen if they didn’t like it the first time.

Except I’m not trying to promote my band. They asked for a link, and I gave them a link.

Edit: When you post in public, you will get a public reaction. If you don’t want a response from all, then PM the Jellies who ask. I thought you put it out there for public consumption.

My initial reaction (as previously stated somewhere.. don’t remember where) is that its a combination of Evanescence and Bif Naked . Hard to tell with such a low quality video though.

Oh.. I’m supposed to post a video too eh? So sad, nothing online or recorded. Guess it will have to be a live experience.

@AshLeigh Take that video off the internet. I want to see you grow as a musician but that particular song has no flow. The melody doesn’t follow anything. There’s no hook. The guitars are stuck on dissonant notes while you are singing is not dissonant. You should ditch your band and find someone who plays acoustic guitar. Stick to the basics. Someone who can play, G, C, Am, D you’ll be fine. The composing of that song was horrible. Your voice isn’t horrible however which is why I think you need to ditch the band.

@auhsojsa, I appreciate your tips, but I love my band members, and we will all grow together. It was only our second practice, and that was just for fun.

@Adirondackwannabe They are really good musicians. and really nice people too =) They were featured in Rolling Stone a couple years ago. I can’t find it at the moment, but I did find this blog that mentions it.

@jonsblond They’re amazing. The Bridge is Out is beautiful. The blog compares them to Hinder, Staind and some other good groups. Nice.
