Question about Civilization V?

In Civilization IV there was a way to play games over time, by email or whatever. I want to have a long game with a bunch of friends…. and email game would be ideal, but I will take whatever. If I need to put it on another computer and have people connect whenever… I will.

Thoughts?

Im pretty sure you can play a online game and save it. You all need to go on at the same time to play but when you finish your session you just save and start up from thete next time.
