I feel that there should be many more. I wish that they weren’t necessary.

When I get my first dog, I’m getting one from an animal shelter, no question about it. I encourage everyone to do the same. If you love dogs, you will find a perfect companion at a shelter, no question about it. I wish more people took advantage of them.

i feel that humans are animals and we are no different. some say that we differ in respect to cognitive skills, but watch this video. some other people think that tool use is something that relates only to humans but here, here, and here, we can see other animals using tools. if we are no different than animals, the hippies should be saying to ban makeup on humans because its harmful for our skin, just like its harmful for a pigs skin. or, they would say, test makeup on humans so pigs can wear it for pleasure.

i do agree that everything and/or anything should not be done is excess. for example, if we were eat every cow on earth that could disrupt the food chain, but if we eat a limited amount, its ok. in fact, it actually saves many other species because if the cow population grows, therell be less grass, which means less food for insects, which makes them die and then a bunch of birds die and it goes crazy from there.

i believe that every living animal has thoughts, including plants and single cell bacteria and protists. some are more intuitive, and some are more learned, but they’re thoughts nonetheless. when something has a thought, it likes to express it because it need to balance whats in its head with whats in the outside world. whenever something expresses something, another being will oppose that thought. that is the cause of war, in my opinion. so that means that there are always miniwars between different beings, including bacteria-bacteria war, primate-primate war, primate-bacteria war, fish-lizard war, and any other combination imaginable. when you think about the human-dog war, the human has won by beating it with a stick. the war is over. the dog lost. however, there needs to be equalization after a certain point because at one point, there will be no more human-dog wars because there will be no more dogs. that is where shelters should come in.

Unfortunately, they are a neccessity until people will be more responsible and have their pets spayed or neutered. That alone would cut down on the pet population. And, unfortunately, there are ALOT of people who are lazy, irresponsible, and just plain stupid. I can’t tell you the excuses I’ve been given as to why someone won’t neuter their pet. Things like “God didn’t intend it to be that way”, “Men don’t neuter their pets because it’s not manly” just to name a few. The shelters and humane societies have loving and caring people that work there (usually on a volunteer basis) and would like nothing more than to find a good home for all the animals. I personally have had many pets from the shelter and have been blessed for it.
