Does anyone know any forums for modern-day American Muslims?

Have you tried calling your local Mosque? I know it’s old fashioned. They might even be willing to answer your questions over email if you ask nicely, but you will probably get more candid answers if you conduct your interview by phone or in person.

Thank you for that suggestion. It didn’t even cross my mind. I’m googling to find the contact information for a local Mosque; unfortunately, just by looking at the first few results, I may have a little trouble going this route; looks like not too long ago, someone put pork all over the door handles to the Mosque. Precisely the reason I’d like to interview an American Muslim… it’s shit like this, mainstream America.

More suggestions would be appreciated, in the event that this route falls through.

Let me know. I really think a local person would serve you best, but I have a friend who might answer your questions if you can’t get help locally.

I have a couple facebook friends who fit the bill, but I met them through friends of friends on facebook, so I would not ask them to do it directly but might be able to ask them if they know someone interested in doing an interview. If you don’t have luck with the mosque, which I think is a great idea, post something on the thread.

What type of interview is this? & what do you mean by “has a political agenda”? Political agenda of what kind?
