beat me by .251 seconds hearkat!
some say its illegal to resell them for more than face value, it is?? I mean, who buys something to sell it for less money!!!?
@2late2be – some people end up selling tickets for less money because they just want to get rid of tickets and recoup some of the loss. The buyer usually has the advantage, because people are trying to get rid of tickets they can’t use or don’t want to use. Of course, that all depends on the event or particular game. For instance, here in Memphis, tickets for a Grizzlies v. Kings game would not sell very well, so the seller would have a hard time selling the tickets above face value. But, on the other hand if the tickets are court side, then I think a buyer that wants to pay for court side would be willing to pay a little more than face value. So depending on the market you are in, location of the seats and the teams playing, you might be able to make some money from tickets. Also keep in mind that the reseller programs often take a commission from what you make.
it is illegal in some states to sell tickets above face value..see this link from stubhub.com
