In the film "Twins" - Danny de Vito is paired with Arnold. Can you think of any other examples of this kind of pairing?

Depends on what one decides the type is. If you think of it as a muscleman thug and a short comedian… I think there are some but they aren’t coming to mind immediately. There’s probably at least one Jackie Chan film like that. If you think of de Vito as a comical sidekick, then there are droves of those, especially in westerns, going back to Shakespeare’s Henry IV and Falstaff and certainly earlier. If you think of it as a pair of opposites, then The Odd Couple comes to mind.
Mutt and Jeff, Princess Diana and Prince Charles, Velma and Shaggy, Gilligan and the Professor,
Kim Kardashian and Stephen Hawking
Shaquille O’Neal and Judge Judy
Hugh Hefner and the Shannon twins:
Maxwell Smart and Agent 99
Michael Knight and K.I.T.T.
Dooley (policeman) and Jerry Lee (K-9)
R2D2 and C-3PO
Jack Lemmon and Walter Mathau (and it worked so well!)
Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds in City Heat (didn’t work so well)
Roseanne Barr and Meryl Streep in She Devil (gag!)
^ That was almost as scary as Angelina Jolie and whatshisface.
@zensky Billie Bob? Ya, I’m guessing she lost a bet…to Satan.
The funny thing is that he’s (apparently) had a string of hotties.
