Do you take breaks between cleaning projects, or just keep at it?
When you’re on a cleaning spree, do you take breaks between rooms/projects or do you just keep cleaning until you’re done?

My sprees last, at most, four minutes, so I forbid myself to take a break.
It’s a workable system.
I do take breaks for long household projects. For regular cleaning, and tidying, like @gailcalled, I work in small spurts.
I go at it full speed until it’s done. Last weekend I vacuumed every cobweb and vacuumed the rugs in one long orgy of sucking.
I am a work horse I throw myself into the task at hand 100 percent, relentlessly working myself straight through so I can be done with it,
If I take a break, I’m done. I have to start early and stay on task until I’m finished. I am getting slower in my old age and can’t concentrate like I use to either. Hormones.
Not only do I take breaks, but sometimes I clean over days. Master bedroom closet today, office tomorrow, baseboards the next day, bathrooms the next, etc.
A full day of cleaning, just cleaning, no real organizing, I usually do one area, then rest a little, eat or watch TV, and then start up again. I would say I split it up into thirds typically: bathrooms, break, tidy top of counter and make beds, break, kitchen and floors.
I start one project splits off into several side projects that I go back and forth between until finished, with hydration breaks every so often. It used to drive my husband nuts :D
If I don’t do it all at once, I take a break, until the next week.
“Cleaning spree”? Not a concept I am familiar with…..
Non stop cleaning, when and if I do.
I turn on my IPOD, put in the ear plugs and dance away the dirt. If I take too long a break, the day’s over and I’ll have to start again tomorrow. I hate two in a row cleaning days.
I break more than I clean. There’s always another day.
Spree? Break? I’m still cleaning…
I take breaks whenever possible. I hate cleaning. I do a bit, take a break, do a bit more. I set myself goals (just like in my paid work) so I get things done. For instance, this weekend I am sorting out my wardrobe.
Yes! I like things to be clean, but don’t actually like to clean, so taking a short break re-energizes me for the task.
