A little tipsy off a bottle of wine. What's on everyone's mind? How was your day?

I went to class, had dinner at Firehouse Subs, slept for almost four hours, woke up, internetted for a while, and now I’m working on my term paper that’s due tomorrow. A good day, overall, except for the fact that I feel a little icky. After I finish this paper, I’m gonna work on one of my books, so I’m looking forward to that.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard wow sounds like you had a busy day. Firehouse Subs sounds good right about now even though I don’t know what kind of food they serve.

@Akua really good sub sandwhiches. Kind of pricey, but they have a lot of hot sauces that you can use to your heart’s content, and they have a cool new soda fountain that has like… three hundred flavors.

Hmm… your making me hungry @Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard lol. Alcohol always makes me hungry though

My daughter had science night at her grade school. They had science experiments and families were invited to bring their unusual pets. A local zoo also brought a white tiger, fox and bobcat. It was funny because my daughter was scared about holding a baby turtle, but she had no problem petting a boa constrictor. What’s up with that?

@jonsblond now that’s a great time! I love animals. They brought a white tiger, fox and bobcat to a grade school? Boy things have changed.

@Akua We moved to a less populated area of Illinois a little over a year ago and the school system is much better here, believe it or not. The old school my daughter attended didn’t even have field trips. Not all small towns have terrible schools. The people here care about the children. I love it.

@jonsblond Oh no I agree small towns and tight knit comunities are the best place to raise children, actually they are the best place to live. In 3 weeks my husband and I are moving to a small town called Florida Village, NY and only about 3000 people live there. I can’t wait to get out of this city. Good luck to you and your family. Your daughter is going to thrive in that kind of school system.

I have had a good day. Woke up with my favourite man, came to work which has been a fairly simple day, had a good work out in the gym and going for a singing lesson tonight. In all honesty I wish I didn’t have the singing lesson, I would very much like to curl up in my warm flat and relax but never mind.

This was asked yesterday! Do I have to talk about yesterday? I’m not going to, I’m going to talk about today.

I obliterated a differential equations test this morning. After class I went to my friend’s dorm and we had a The Office marathon. Then I got a call from my doctor’s office that upset me. After dinner I went home to my dorm and had a long talk with my mom about that call. Now I’m going to go play some piano. I’ve decided to have a quiet Friday night because I have a beastly cold and don’t have the energy to go out. Woo.

You can friggin talk about anything you want! I wish I could play the piano. I hope everything works out with the doctor. Good Luck.

Hey I’m having fun just chatting with my fellow flutherers. And finishing the last of the wine.

Got a new video game yesterday, that I only got a chance to play today. You give the finger to huge spaceships, drink beer, get lap dances, eat popcorn and get miniaturized and ride around in a toy car. Plus nobody in this game will ever stop swearing.

If anyone has played Duke Nukem Forever, you don’t have to notify me that the game gives you a trophy for picking up fecal matter out of a toilet.

I know. I did it.

Oh and you also fight aliens and stuff, I guess.

It was a fucked up day. But the game was given to me for free. I don’t like FPS’s, but this one is certainly a special case…I appreciate it a lot more than when I first read/saw videos about it. It’s pretty exhilarating in battle. (but that’s prolly cuz I’m really bad at this genre…) Still though, picking up logs, eeeeew.

Anything else about my day was just working, drinking V8 and actually not getting in a fight with my roomie. Also, nobody tried to slit my throat. That’s always awesome, can’t complain.

@Symbeline Hey if someone gave you something for free that you enjoyed then your day wasn’t that bad and if you can count not getting your throat slit as a highlight in your day then I have to say DAMN! What neighborhood do YOU live in! lolol.
@Leanne1986 you must have a beautiful voice to sing classical music, thats’ no easy thing to do. I personally sing very well in the shower…

@Akua That’s very sweet of you to say however, even with all the training I have had I would still much rather sing in my shower than on any stage!!

@Leanne1986 Hey even Barbara Streisand had stage fright and the acoustics in the bathroom makes even the worst singer sound like Luciano Pavarott, lol.
