Why can't I download Adobe Flash Player?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47126points) February 1st, 2012

New computer. Have to start from scratch. Joy joy. When I try to down load Adobe Flash it goes so far then says, “Unable to contact (or connect) to a reliable source.” What does that mean?

I’m also having a hard time downloading Firefox. It just seems to get stuck.

I’m using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Do you have any internet connectivity?
Are you an administrator?

If I didn’t have internet connectivity I wouldn’t be posting this, would I! It’s a new computer, The connectivity seems spotty. I don’t think it’s ATT because we use ATT at work.
This is a personal computer. No one is designated an administrator. It just starts to download, and it gets stuck.
