Which song did you listen to last, if you can remember?
Or if you’re currently listening, what is it?
I’m currently listening to The Carpenters :)

Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins.
Honeycomb by Jimmie Rodgers. Listen :) such an awesome upbeat cute song.
I believe it was the theme to Schindlers List
Mars, sometimes called Ethan’s Theme from Heavy Rain.
Blowin’ in the Wind. LOL.
“I Sing, I Swim” by Seabear. Such a sweet song!
Avon performed live with Dave Grohl by QOTSA, this morning while in the shower.
According to my youtube account it was Leila , it’s pretty good, couldn’t find anything else by them though. Just discovered warped records, kind of.
Yesterday in my car. I was playing a Greenday CD. :-)
“Foggy Day in London Town”
by Dinah Washington
Before that, the Glee version of “Valerie”.
Jody – by one of Jeff Beck’s earlier bands.
Miles Davis—“On Green Dolphin Street”
Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five – Wings
It was on the radio, so it’s not on my playlist. It was very sweet, though.
Brandi Carlile singing Hallelujah
Something by Machinae Supremacy, but I don’t remember the track =[ It could have been maybe… Violator?
Living in the moment, by Hot Tuna
“You’re a Big Girl Now” by Bob Dylan
@filmfann – I love to discover new music, so I clicked on that link expecting a hymn (knowing that you’re a Christian and all that), but I really like that song!
It’s a beautiful (if oddly disturbing) song :-/
Thanks for sharing :-)
@HungryGuy Hallelujah is a Leonard Cohen song that has been covered many, many times. Not all versions have the same verses. Jellies could fill a Fluther thread with our favourite versions, in fact I think we have once or twice. I’m glad you discovered it!
I am familiar with this song from Rufus Wainwright . Brandi Carlile’s version was just terrific to hear.
It doesn’t surprise me that this is from Leonard Cohen. He is a wonderful writer.
@filmfann – Right. I just spent the past hour or so scouring YouTube for various covers of this song. And I also like the one by Rufus Wainwright the best.
BTW, the song’s reference to “David” and “seeing her bathing on the roof” and “Cutting his hair” etc. are references to Bathsheba, no?
@HungryGuy Seeing a tempting woman on the roof of another house? Sure. Cutting his hair sounds more like Sampson
@filmfann – D’oh! You’re right, of course :-) Still, the song seems to be filled with Biblical references.
