Based on the tax refund cycle chart if your refund isn't deposited on the scheduled date does it automatically mean it has to be reviewed?

Or is their a week delay like people have been saying? The problem is that I filed on Feb 2nd and when I check the refund status I can’t get any information and it was due on the 15th, according to the refund schedule.

My daughter is having EXACTLY the same problem. She filed on the 2nd as well and was supposed to get it on Wednesday, the 15th. When she calls, all she gets is, “It hasn’t been processed yet and that’s all the information we can give you. I wonder if it has do do with the broken tracker thing I was just reading about. The article said the only thing affected is the ability of people to track their refunds on line, but that returns are being processed normally. Doesn’t sound like it to me.
No, it just means the IRS is getting backlogged. Your refund should show up eventually.

@Dutchess III Thank you so much I was beginning to really think their was going to be a problem other than a slight delay. I am also just finding out that they only process and distribute refunds on Wednesdays. So I guess it will be next week.
@Dutchess_III I checked again today and it’s finally posted as being deposited on the 24th. Let’s hope your daughters is the same.
I’ll bet it will be! Thanks SO much for touching base!
Welcome to Fluther! Why don’t ya hang around for a while? :)
