Where can I find a site to swap "invites" ?
I have nine (9) invitations to twine.com, and I would love to get my hands on a drawergeeks.com account. If anyone knows a site I can do that on, or has anything interesting they are willing to trade for a twine.com invitation, speak now or momentarily hold your peace.

that is definitely ironic. sorry, invitecentral wasn’t invite only when i used it. i guess it must have gotten very popular. i never tried invitetrader.net but i know people who have. if they haven’t expired my count (it has been a long time), i will send you an invite for the former site.
Umm, what are you guys talking about? Invites? Trading them? I went to twine.com and still couldn’t figure it out. Thanks.
@ tl – some sites do no have free registration to their services. this is common in beta sites, because they do not want an overflow of members since they are still testing the site. gmail.com did that when it first started out. people who ARE members of the site often have a limited number of invites they can share with friends etc. invite trading sites are where members can trade invites. in this case, shockvalue wants to give someone an invite for twine.com in exchange for an invite to drawergeeks.com . I hope this makes sense.
drawergeeks looks pretty specialized… You might have better luck contacting an artist already involved and asking for one.
i don’t get drawergeeks. i am positive i am missing the main point of the site, because all i see are pictures of various genres. doesn’t say anything about members. anyone want to point me in the right direction without making too much fun of me for it?
Each other friday a new topic is released. For instance, the last topic was “dinosaurs.” Everyone who has an account then gets to draw whatever “dinosaurs” means to them and upload it. The results are displayed and then if you are a member, there is a forum where they can all discuss their designs/inspiration whatever. There are a limited amount of people so it’s not any old schmuck submitting their stick figures. I think many of the members are illustrators for Pixar.
Here’s an FAQ
whoa. well that is pretty interesting then. i mean, i would have no use for it, but i could see why you would want to be a member there. thanks for taking the time to explain it for some of us slower people :)
No problem! Isn’t that what fluther is all about? Helping you slow people?
Haha, I’m just kidding. Teaching is just part of learning.
Thanks for your explanation, PnL!
