I have a few details:

The guys first name is Colin. The came from a cast or crew in a credits of movie or television program that aired at night between April 4 or 5th, 1973 in Edmonton Alberta, Canada

The persons first name was Colin, or Collin.

My mom thinks he might have been a movie director.

This is a toughie. To answer this question, we’d have to narrow down:

- what TV stations were broadcasting in 1973
– what their schedules were for those nights
– the cast and crew for each show on those schedules

I suspect this is going to be impossible to figure out as stated. I’m going to guess you don’t want to ask your mom for more details, but I think you’ll have to. You will probably have better luck if you know more about the actual show – if it was a TV series, you have a better shot. If it was a film, that will be harder. Was it a comedy or drama? Can she remember any of the actors at all? Was it a Canadian production? Those would be good clues to start with.

@talljasperman Yes. Barnabas Collins. I guess that explains why we grew up in Collinwood, next to a large shopping mall that looks like a castle.
