I cud easily download and check but i am trying to figure out if it actually agrees mathematically. Since 8 bits make a byte. It should agree???

5 MB x 1,024 x 8 / 100 / 60
I was thinking maybe the answer wud be in seconds rather.
oh... well, just multiply by 60: 409.6 seconds.
I meant to say that pratically it took me 15 seconds as compared to theoretical way.
1megabyte=8megabit right?
so if i have 100mbps it shud be under a second unless i am overlooking something drastically
ooh! looks like i did my math backwards. thanks for catching that, cooltaj... it's clearly too late for me to be doing math... bedtime!
oh! i wasn't trying to point at ur mistake but rather one of my friend got me confused with this. So i decided to ask this one and later discuss it with him
It wont fit with the maths. There's overhead (waste) and then there's the server's speed, wich is probably the limit with 100Mbit.
all depends on the server ur downloading from
