What are some of the most useless security questions you've been prompted to give the answers to when accessing an online account?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47050points) March 4th, 2012

For example, my ATT account asked “Who was your childhood hero?”
Well, I didn’t need to access the account until a year and a half later, and damned if I could remember what I answered!

Other questions that could change over the course of time, or might be impossible to remember:

What is your favorite food?
Who’s your favorite kid?
What is your husband’s mother’s mother’s father’s mother’s maiden name?

Do you have any examples of the worst security questions ever?

Some of the security questions asked by my AT&T account involved some really obscure crap to which I never gave any thought.

E.g., what style are your favorite shoes, or what color are your father’s favorite socks?

Not sure if it’s bad or not, but my bank’s current online security question is:

Name a famous character from fiction.

“What was your initial reaction when you heard that Ronald Reagan decided to run for Presidency?”

“How does your girlfriend sound when she reaches orgasm?”

@rebbel Quit! I’m laughing in spite of myself!

I think I had one once that asked for the name of a movie I hadn’t seen before. Like, if I haven’t seen it at that moment, I’m never going to see it?!

@rebbel It’s difficult to type right now-my sides are splitting.

What was the name of your favorite dog?

What was the name of your childhood dog?

I’ve had many dogs. I thought these questions were hilarious…and for me, too difficult to remember the answers to.
