Old stuff that when you listen to it, it fills you up.
Dark Side of the Moon album
Give me some old Paul McCartney and Wings
Evita soundtrack (Original cast – London)
may sound cheesy, but old Billy Joel

Do they remind of something? A good time or experience in your life?
Eve Six.
The Beatles.
Ice Nine Kills.
The Pretty Reckless.
Placebo. I know…
The Spill Canvas.
Maria Mena.
Anderlin.
We Are The In Crowd.
I like songs with drawn out, synthesized violin-type sounds. Like at the beginning of this song (at :24).
Mahler’s 8th. Especially the ending and singing in the chorus. Being in the midst of all that magnificent sound, I felt I was physically lifted off my feet and slowly twisted in the air. Absolutely glorious.

Recently, it is Tenuousness. This live version is so much better than the studio version.
I’m limiting this to performances I’ve seen live since the atmosphere has a way of taking something strong and making it down right narcotic. These are the sort of performances that have to close a concert because they simply can’t be followed.
Right Where It Belongs – NIN, it’s just so haunting.
Would? – Alice in Chains, at the Roxy, first tour after Layne’s death with guest vocalist Mark Lanegan
Ænema – Tool, exhilarating and exhausting, which is how a Tool concert should be. The first time I experienced this we were rocking out next to an 10 year boy and his family. It was his first concert. How pumped was he?
Stagger Lee – Nick & the Bad Seeds played tantalizingly slow version of this at the Hollywood Bowl. It was such a privilege to see Nick live. In retrospect this probably won’t make any sense unless you’re already a fan. nsfw
Rockin’ in the Free World – Pearl Jam, I love that they made this cover one of their standbys.
Mostly Sarah McLachlan, especially Elsewhere.
What? No one specified how it touched my soul.
