I'm looking for a good reference in how to repaint an electric guitar to a solid color, got any?
Youtube links or links to wherever will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I don’t have any links BUT what I’d do would be to un-string it, tape off all the parts you don’t want paint on and then paint it myself. I’d end with a good coat of varnish. You could be as creative as you want.
Wood electric guitar. dis-assemble the electronics after removal of strings. Mask off fretboard. Rough up all surfaces to be painted. Paint with spray gun this coats and coats of thin varnish.
Go to this site on refurbing a guitar.
I don’t know about stripping the existing finish on the wood. I’ve used a combination of hot water, Easy Off oven cleaner, and brillo pads to strip the finish off firearms before, so I imagine the process would be similar, though. I do know that auto body paint is a very good paint for refinishing/coloring the body of electric guitars once you seal it, and it is available in a wide selection at Pep Boys and places like that.
@whitecarnations, it could be, but I’d personally seal it with a high gloss clear coat.
