Are any of you on IMVU the virtual chat portal?

Asked by Shippy (10020points) March 15th, 2012

I became highly addicted to the graphics, socializing the friendships which felt so much more real, when they appeared to look like real people (kind of). After a few months I became involved in developing and was loving it. Lately I got bored even with developing. I think the client crashing didn’t help much either.Could be a great way to create a Fluther gathering you know as avatars. Just an idea. Anyway off topic, so what was your experiences of IMVU, what kept you there or not?

Nah, I’ve got more social programs than I can actually use. Pidgin helps, but that’s just a handful of social tools tied together.
You’ll want to post this kind of thing in ‘Social.’

No. I have an identity on Second Life, but I hardly go there. After a while, you realize that 99% of the people there are little kids pretending to be adults. And even if you go there just to explore on your own, each “world” is so tiny that there’s not much worth exploring either. I assume IMVU is similar.
