I believe things can turn out to your benefit by chance, so yes, I believe there is such a thing as luck.

I believe in luck. I also belive in hard work. You need a combination of the two.

Luck is my best friend, so many times I’ve been saved by luck =) I think it’s the way I’m not superstitious about being superstitious =P

jrpowell's avatar

God controls everything. It is his will so there can’t be luck.

Why thank you Notreallyhere :)
I am rather fond of randomness (and chance and luck) – it keeps things from getting boring and predictable!

I appreciate intelligence and beauty, like for example…wildflowers

I think I believe that everything happens for a reason, but I’m not definite on that one.

If gailcalled sees this, note that I spelt definite right this time :P

@Shrub; “By, George, I think you’ve got it.” Five gold stars *****

@all: if one believes in good luck, than we must also accept bad luck as our due.

shrubbery's avatar

thanks gail, gold stars make me feel warm and giddy :) I reckon if I got gold stars every time I spelt it right I would never spell it wrong again.

something else to ponder, do you believe we are all here because of luck/chance? because the earth happened to have the right elements in it’s atmosphere and a chain of “lucky” events caused us to be here now?

Irony: you mis-spelt spelled. :)

I believe we make our own luck, and being intuitive never hurt!

Luck? No. Karma? Yes. Read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Nice theory.

nikipedia's avatar

I believe in serendipity and probability. The rest is what you make of it.

buster's avatar

hell yeah i believe in luck. im a gambler.

Brew805's avatar

Yes, so I also believe in BAD luck. There are a lot of good people out there who are going through terrible things. They don’t deserve it so that would be bad luck.

spendy's avatar

Like I said, karma. Even people who seem “good” have things in their pasts that aren’t. And you might think you “know” them, but you’ll never really and truly know everything that anyone has ever done (or not done). When it appears they’re having bad luck, it’s just karma biting them in the butt. :)

cheebdragon's avatar

Sometimes I think karma works too slowly.

spendy's avatar

totally…but slow or not, it never fails. :) Someone once said, “Timing is everything.”
