Yes, because you don’t get that satisfaction when you say “Yes! I finally got it out!”
From record online
Holding in a sneeze potentially can cause fractures in the nasal cartilage, nosebleeds, burst eardrums, hearing loss, vertigo, detached retinas, or temporary swelling called facial emphysema.
Therefore, it is best to let your sneeze fly, but please cover your nose and mouth.
Yep! You could blow the back of your head off!
And why would you hold it in anyway???
Think about it, a blow coming out at like 200 mph (guess) ready to blow your nerves out is not a good thing to attempt to keep in.
@Awww Not far wrong, around 100mph, they say.
I tried holding in one once and the result was a broken blood vessel in my eye. One side of the white of my eye was bloodshot and it what seemed like forever to heel. My eye doc told me to never do that again, as it could have been worse.
His leg must have been heavy.
Oh man – I’ve been sneezing a lot too! It’s the allergies of spring!
And it feels SO good when they finally come out.
A woman goes to the doctor and says, “Doc, everytime I sneeze, I have an orgasm!”
The doctor says, “Have you been doing anything to help this?”
She says, “Sniffing pepper!”
