How can I eat something that I really don't want to?

Asked by pshizzle (1100points) March 26th, 2012

I have to eat a whole box of corn Chex cereal, and I think it is disgusting due to over-consumption. After, I get to eat Cocoa Puffs!

I’m sorry, what?

Do you mean that you can’t have the Cocoa puffs until the first box is gone? And what do you mean by “over consumption”? As apposed to Cocoa puffs?

I’m totally confused.

Yes, I can’t have the cocoa puffs until the Chex is gone. I liked chex before, but because I ate so much of it, I hate it now.

Ugh. Why don’t you skip them both and have an apple?

Okay, let’s think outside of the box here for potential options:
1.) Mix the two cereals together for an interesting combination.
2.) Add fruit, nuts, and/or other flavors to the Corn Chex.
3.) Use the Corn Chex in other ways: make snacks, bread crumb substitutes, etc.
4.) Take the Corn Chex to a local park and feed them to the wild critters. Take photos of them being consumed and submit them to General Mills. It might result in a marketing promotion for the company’s product.

Buy the Corn Chex from whoever is making this rule for you (as a parent myself, I think I know whose rule it is, and it’s not a bad one to get used to—you’ll have to make and live within a budget yourself someday) and then you can dispose of it as you see fit. Or not.

I am suspicious of anybody who says they like Cocoa Puffs with a straight face. Unless you are 9 or something. In which case I would say “Your body is going to build itself with whatever you feed it. Be that bad shit, or good stuff, it is going to get built. The question is, if it is bad shit, how long is your body going to last?”
