Has the Holy See ever participated in the Olympics?
Why or why not?
What countries have never participated or sent athletes… other than Antarctica?
Humor welcome

Atlantis.
They almost participated, but the swim team just didn’t pass the qualification trials prior to the Games.
Virgin Islands, they couldn’t give a fuck…...about sport.
<pedant> Antarctica is not a country</pedant>
The Vatican does not have a National Olympic Committee, and has never applied to send any athletes to the Games.
No. They wanted to introduce and compete in a new category: Marathon Child Molestation.
Needlessly to say, it was rejected, so they never participated.
The Vatican has been prevented from participating in the Olympics since one Cardinal, participating in the 100 meter freestyle, parted the waters and ran across.
No, they prefer to reserve their best athletes for the annual Vatican Cage Fighting Championship.
Don’t you remember the cardinal ski team? They made quite a picture on the slalom with their white robes flying and red miters tipping precariously this way and that. How they came out of it with no injuries must be due to their Hail Marys. There’s no other way to explain it.
@Sunny2 Sorry I don’t remember them… I think their might be an age and gender barriers in getting to some of the Olympic qualifying rounds… I don’t think one is going to send a 70 year old into the 100 meter dash anytime soon unless the sport is geared to seniors… I thought that their was a Senior Olympics.
@talljasperman Please don’t take me seriously. I may lead you astray. unless it’s a general question, of course.
Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, and I believe the Republic of the Congo do not partake in the Olympics as well
The Holy See would get gold in ‘Pulling Wool Over People’s Eyes’ as they have been doing that for centuries.
