Do the ice cream trucks in your neighborhood play "Do Your Ears Hang Low" to draw out the kids as they drive up the street?

When I was a kid they just rang a bell as they came to a usual stop. I must admit I enjoy the little melody now but think it must drive the drivers insane.

Yes, that’s the one they play here.
And thank you so much for getting that damn song stuck in my head. :P
Closest thing I ever saw to an ice cream truck was a milk truck to take the milk away. They didn’t play music.
Isn’t that better known as “Turkey in the Straw”?
I think no matter the truck plays, it will drive the ice cream man nuts in short order…
how do you suck a Turkey through a straw??
No, they play a different tune here. One that is just as annoyingly repetitive.
I’ve only heard them play one song in the various states I’ve lived in, but it wasn’t Turkey in the Straw. I wish I knew the name of it.
We get “Pop Goes the Weasel”.
Hey what am I? Chopped liver? Town of Pittsfield, NY. 1020 Residents.
I have no idea, it sounds like tinkle, tinkle to me. I don’t recognize it as any song.
I get “It’s a Small World After All”
Try getting that out of your head!
My local one plays “Teddy Bear’s Picnic”. It could be worse.
Ours play really camp tunes, like Liberace’s doorbell chime. Most kids “mince” up to the driver announcing their buying intentions with glee.
@Adirondackwannabe so what’s your tune? and are you in the Adirondacks or a wannabe?
@ilvorangeiceblocks and where do you hear that tune? I love Greensleeves
@wilma where is it you get Small World After All?
@downtide You’re a Brit, right? Where in UK do you hear that song?
@cazzie the national Norwegian ice cream truck theme? Where are you in Norway?
@anartist I get Teddy Bear’s Picnic in Stockport (just south of Manchester), which is in the north-west of England.
@anartist The tune played by the ice cream truck, (it isn’t a truck it is a bicycle) plays Small World After All. I’m in Michigan.
I usually try to get away when I hear it, I don’t want that tune in my head for a week.
