What is the best place to do taxes online?
I am currently in AIT (military) which I have the W2 for and FINALLY got my W2 from my old job before I joined.
I believe the cut off date is April 17th and I need to get this done ASAP can you suggest to me any websites? Never done taxes online before so anything I need or should know about?

Turbotax works pretty well. Good luck!
I used H&R Block’s online service this year. It was a breeze. The website will guide you through the process step by step. It’s very simple. Good luck.
The IRS website has links to sites that will help you file your taxes for free. I mean really free, not just a bait and switch kind of free. I did mine at E-Smart Tax.
Turbotax is really free and they have advisors online, if you need assistance.
I have used free Turbotax for the last five years, without a single problem.
I highly advise using it.
Any tax site listed on the IRS website should work, find one you like. I would not use one that does not offer audit support unless you file the simple form with only standard deductions.
This may be late but for the future you can go on base. They do free tax services for the military. They do your easy straight forms mostly I think. But they know all any any entitlements the military gets and I believe they help you with extensions as well.
Anything complicated like, property, or if you have a business or something has to be done somewhere else.
If its a short form just go to the IRS site. http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html
Theirs is free. And tells you how to file for an extension if you need too. If you’re overseas on deployment, I think they cut you a break. Not sure
