Ah, there you are. Please respond to the question on the greatest actor ever.
ok…even though every one knows my answer…hehe
To answer your question, since front view is not the best way to see it, it is usually not illustrated that way. Here is an image that shows the detail, and then has a front view inset into the picture.
I don’t see on the front view how it is detached
You can’t see the detachment from the front. The retina is in the back of the eyeball. Where is shilolo when I need him?
Marina and shilolo, sitting in a tree…
Hey, nikipedia, since you are on, can’t you help her?
@MrsDRFNF I mentioned shilolo because he is a doctor.
My eye expertise ends at the optic nerve. I don’t know anything besides brains. Also am about 85% useless today.
ok marina. Yes where for art thou shilolo?
From this site
A detached retina is not seen by most opticians or doctors under normal examination. The pupil must be dilated first with an eye drop and then examined by a magnification instrument.
I found something. thanks
Sorry, I haven’t been around much. Working in the hospital 12 hours a day the past 3 days, so not much time for fluther. Marina is right that retinal detachment can be visualized only with a fundoscopic examination. You can find multiple views here, at the emedicine website. Click on the multimedia link to see a bunch of pictures. You can find more pictures by clicking the multimedia link here as well.
Frankly, I’m not sure how the pictures will help you, since only an ophthalmologist or optometrist can really decipher what you are looking at.
