Are they any sites to submit ideas for TV shows and movies?

I have ideas for TV shows and movies plots. I would like to present them and see what producers think. If they like the idea, would I get any compensation if it were produced?

Unless you’re in the business the odds are virtually nil that you will find someone that will listen to you. Sorry. :(
Yes, the chances of an unknown pitching an idea to a TV or movie producer is pretty close to zero. Also, ideas… there are lots of them. You won’t get paid simply for an idea. Your best bet is to take your “idea” and actually write a script and try to get someone to read that. Ideas are cheap and plentiful. The hard work is taking an idea and making something from it that has substance; in making it real.
And you probably can’t even give it away. If somebody did like your idea and do the work to turn it into something, they’d run the risk that you would then show up demanding compensation because your idea had been “stolen.”
On a more positive note, you can always write your ideas into stories and plays. They can be published and the plays can be performed perhaps by local community theatre.
Here’s the sad thing: Ideas are cheap. If I tell a friend I am out of story ideas he’ll throw me a half dozen great ideas. We know it’s the execution of ideas that count.
Here’s an example: There used to be a show called ‘Wagon Train’. It was episodic and each week there would be some crisis that had to be solved. I believe a very young Clint Eastwood starred in it. Years later, Gene Roddenberry did the exact same thing: Star Trek. Even more years later, Joss Whedon did it with Firefly to perfection. Not even Wagon Train was original. There was Canterbury Tales by Chaucer way back when. And I am sure he stole the idea from a previous author.
This is why people in the business discount ideas. What they want is someone who can take an idea and make it real. If you have an idea that captivates you, create it yourself. Do something with it. It might never become a series or a film, but you will be the better for having done it! :)
