When was the last time Fluther helped you?
I had the urge to read a werewolf novel yesterday so I read reviews of Anne Rice’s The Wolf Gift. They were less than stellar. Next I went to Fluther’s archives and found one I ended up buying. So far so good.
So, what was it that Fluther helped you with finding or learning lately? Oh and btw, have you read Anne Rice’s The Wolf Gift? How was it? Thanks!

When I needed a recipe for adding fruit to yogurt and getting something that tasted at least as good as commercial.
Just two weeks ago when I had a question about breast cancer.
Last summer when my trash can was oozing with about 40 billion maggots and I had no bug killer in the house. Finely killed the little maggots with scrubbing bubbles and acetone soaked paper towels covering the lid so nobody could escape the chemical carnage. lol
Gah! Still makes me shiver to think of that lovely discovery. :-/
I guess it’s been quite awhile.
Are you kidding? I live here. It’s my world. It’s my entire social life. I would perish without it.
I know this may sound strange or pretentious, but I come to Fluther to help others. I love to answer questions and share my experience, strength and hope.
I was helped a couple of weeks ago with questions I posted about grammar and Internet radio.
Last weekend!!! Fluther helped me and @Aethelflaed meet up for a quick coffee!! She is wonderful!!!!
I’m with @Hawaii_Jake… I come here to maintain my sanity. Even if I’m not talkative for a few days, I’m definitely reading. The level of sharing and exchange is not something that you can find easily.
Laugh! I remember @Coloma‘s maggots.
Probably today. Rarebear provided me with info on correcting my vertigo from an accident. I haven’t opened the document yet, but I feel pretty sure it will be helpful.
Fluther helps me all the time. If not with useful information or answers to a question, then with companionship.
Ooohm just was reminded by a major T-storm that just went over that I was also helped when I suspected my house was struck by ligthening last summer too. It was! Maggots and monsoons and lightening bolts, it was an exciting July. lol
Some of the responses I received on my daughter’s medical question yesterday were actually helpful. SOME
June 19th 2010, there was a question asking what we’d had for dinner & it reminded me I hadn’t eaten yet & I was hungry & it made me think of eating & stuff.
@ucme Ready for an assisted living arrangement ey? Someone to tuck your bib in and remind you it;s time to eat? lol
I got helpful information on how to find out if I had an infection on my Mac.
@Coloma Who needs a bib, besides, i’m not allowed solids yet.
Just the other day I was helped with a Google Chrome issue. Just coming here helps with so many things. Whether I’m reading, asking or replying.
I think it’s more important for us to all remember the words wisdom spoken by our founders:
Ask not what Fluther can do you. Ask what you can do for Fluther.
Ich bin ein Jelly
I haven’t read that yet no. Fluther helped me make decisions about my chicken shed floor.
This week I needed to buy new headphones and I remembered some good suggestions being made for Zigmund that were inexpensive but good. I ended up buying them. Haven’t tested them yet. I hope they’re good!
Probably more recently, but the one that really sticks out in my head was a question about how to make my shower stop gushing water. The help on that one was super quick and immensely helpful.
Fluther has really helped me work through some tough social scenarios from psycho friends (fluther friends called that one months before I put the final nail in that coffin) to sisters going sideways. My life can be messy sometimes. I balance it out with exercise: which covers most of my other questions.
My last four questions, asked during the past month, concerned cordless phones, fibromyalgia, ear buds and the battery in a Macbook Air.
I got very helpful and practical answers for all four of them.
And the endless issues I had about my relationship with Milo..fluther saved my bacon on many occasions.
This is my home. When I’m home, I’m on my laptop, on Fluther. When I’m at school, I’m on Fluther from my cell phone. Fluther helps me every day.
I just come to Fluther for the free happy hour, all you can eat Buffalo wings.
Share Lilly… It is dinner time here and I haven’t had mine yet.
I just missed out on an ebay auction by a whole $3.00.
I got support for an action I knew I had to take a few days ago regarding speaking to my nephew about a car seat.
@Plucky Ick. No bingo wings for me, thank you. And now I’m not even sure I want the Buffalo wings anymore. The bingo wing thing has kind of put me off my feed a little bit. I didn’t even know what it meant so I had to google it and there were images! Oh the humanity! :-)
Most recently, Fluther helped me when a professor assigned a homework problem that was literally impossible. I was starting to suspect as much, but I might not have had the confidence to go to the professor without having been told first by some smart jellies that the problem wasn’t doable.
All last year, Fluther helped me in a big way while I went through my surgeries.
Last week, when I asked about suture needles and was speedily directed to a key where I found exactly what I was looking for. Jellies rule!
