No. I’ve had it happen, but I managed to make it unpleasant enough for the stalker that they decided to hunt easier prey.
No. I’ve had (maybe still have?) a cyber stalker, but he’s just an annoyance.
I’ve been on a lot of Q&A sites mainly. I’ve never really had a “stalker”. I’ve had people who were mad or even “infatuated” with me, but it was easy to get them to back off just not not engaging in any kind of interactions with them.
I’ve never had a stalker. My usual reason for leaving a social network is that I use it so infrequently that I just forget I have an account there.
No, I’ve never had a stalker. Thank goodness, as it would really upset me.
I have never had too but my girlfriend did at one point. She was dating a guy that was stalking her through social networks, coming to her home and leaving her threatening voicemail’s. On topic of a restraining order and moving, she also decided to completely lock down her social network profiles by changing email accounts, profile names and setting strict search perimeters.
Years ago I had one person cyber-stalk me and it was enough for me to de-activate my account, change e-mail addresses and walk away from the computer for a while.
I’m particularly sensitive to this as I was stalked in real life and he terrified me.
No. I’m not that interesting.
Imagine being stalked by Mr.Bean…......there’s a story in there somewhere.
Yes. We are now engaged.
Okay, that is untrue. We did meet on a social site, but he was nothing but pure gentleman to everyone. So, back to the question. No, I’ve never been stalked on a social network, and I’ve been a member of several. There were a few run-ins with cyber punks, but it never lasted more than a couple of minutes.
I didn’t have to leave but I did choose to. I also chose to leave the fluther chatroomms a few years ago because of the same person. It felt too disruptive to the other people in the chatroom that I had a “black cloud” following me, took the light banter out of it for me. Sometimes people just suck.
