I never know how people who ask these kinds of questions expect any of us to pick just one song. Really! That is too much to ask. I can’t decide on just one to begin with and then there are always ones that come to mind later where I think, of course, why didn’t I post that one? That’s really my favorite song! I just completely forgot about it. :-)
But, this is one of my go to songs, when these kinds of questions are asked, and rather than spending the next 3 hours searching youtube for some other song I really like better, I will post this one and be done with it.

Don’t get me started; I’ll be here all night, annoying you and everyone else with my youtube posts.
Given enough time and energy and effort I could probably post a thousand things. I just understand that everyone likes different things. Not everyone will or can or should like anything, let alone everything, that I like. Though I certainly can be guilty of trying my best to get people to like what I like. I will fess up to that.
But, LOL, I do actually get why a lot of people might not like Strauss waltzes, or any of the other things I like. I am not so silly or headstrong that I don’t get that. :-)
Honestly, I love tons of songs, but I really don’t think what makes me love them is something I can expect to apply to anyone else let alone everyone else. People’s taste can vary wildly. As such I have come up with a song I enjoy that I think will appeal to more people than most any other song: Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead or Alive.
Think about it. It’s rockin’. It’s one of the first songs people want to learn on guitar just for that riff. If you can’t play it on a real guitar it’s still begging for a balls out air guitar solo. Even if you’re too hip to love it it’s just the right sort of song to like ironically (though we all know you really dig it and you’re just pretending to be ironic).
On the flip side, my grandma still wouldn’t go for it. But she’s a Lawrence Welk girl so good luck finding any common ground with that.

Even my own taste varies more than that, I struggle to pick just one song and the one I go for will vary depending on my mood.
Right now it’s Don’t stop me now which always makes me feel great.

There are many songs I love, but taste is subjective, so I don’t think there is one song that everyone automatically loves. But one song that really speaks to me is “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. The music is just mesmerizing.

@lilycoyte thanks for the verbose responses. Feel free to choose as many songs as you wish. I should have asked “Which songs do you love so much…” but just assumed that people would use their free will to provide as many responses as they saw fit. I too love The Long and Winding Road, the Waltz doesn’t do anything for me though.
