This is the first boy for my family. My dad had all girls although he wanted a boy really badly. His name is Jerry. I’d like to keep that or a derivative if I can. My husband is Benjamin and we’d like his name to be included. My grandfather’s name was Eli and I love that name and would love to include that too. Personally, I’ve fallen in love with the name Cruz. My baby can’t have all these names. Help! :)

Icecream. (think about it, then realise it’s a joke)
Why can’t your son have a first name and two middle names? Mine do. It doesn’t mean I use them.
I checked a name mixer by searching on Google. This is what it came up with.
Edit: That didn’t work. But it does take you to the site where you can add up to 5 names and it quickly mixes them into many different names. I entered the 4 names you listed.
Benjamin Jerry Lastname, but call him Cruz as a nickname. All set.
Or, you could have a few children and hope to have more than one boy so you can use several names.
Did your dad want a Jerry Jr.? Maybe he doesn’t care if his name is used. You’re not Jewish are you? Then usually you don’t name after a relative who is still alive. But, you can if you want to.
I think Eli is the best way to keep anyone from being offended. Because of the credit bureau don’t give your kid his dads name. My son has his fathers first name but not his middle name and yet, year after year they still screw things up. My husbands credit keeps showing up as he has alias. Even though we went through great pains twice to fix it and even though they show his birthdays as being way different. According to their records my husbands actual name shows my sons birthday and his birthday and the same vise versa.
Cruz is a last name, so some people may think it is your last name or he has another daddy.
Jerod
Jerald
Jerard
We used a traditional name for our son that has now been passed down 8 times. Since your husband is Benjamin, and got his son, you could do something that honors your dad.
Benjamin Jerry Olderson [ Last name ]
I think it’s such a personal question that it should be entirely at your discretion.
I know some Spanish guys that have about 6 names and two family names each. I don’t see anything wrong with Benjamin Eli Cruz smith/jones
@Ron_C Hahahaha. I laughed at my husband when he said he only had a first name and a last name (well in MX he has two last names). He had asked my middle name, I told him, and then when he said he didn’t have one I said, “what? You are not Firstname Juan Carlos Pedro Lastname?
I do like Benjamin Eli Cruz Smith.
@JLeslie “Benjamin Eli Cruz Smith.” sounds really classy to me like Chief Justice…......... or Mr. President…........
I wouldn’t now how to take care of a boy, I had all daughters. Good luck!!!
Benjamin Cruz Lastname
or Cruz Gerald Lastname
or Eli Benjamin Lastname
jingo = super cool name
or maybe jimbo? jambo?
Remember the child will grow into an adult. He won’t want to be stuck with some ridiculous name – just give him a decent one, not one of the current ‘celeb’ type names.
“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya, and you killed my father.” : )
I would recommend not using Cruz as a given name. You may like it, but it will probably make school difficult.
I stole my first son’s middle name “Lane” from my brother-in-law. Everyone liked it so well that my friend stole it from me for her first son’s middle name. It must be a good middle name for a boy, and goes with lots of first/last name combinations.
Eli Jerriman Cruz Lastname
