6 or 7 in high school, and now… I’m not sure there’s any kind of real way of determining it for an adult, probably because so few people care.
High school: -10
Now: -10
High school? Like a 5 I was ugly but I knew older kids who could by beer.
Now? I have been told by several women after the reunion I was the hottest man in the room, and the single ones have been emailing. Truth be told, I care about their opinion less and less each year.
Freshman year: 5
Sophomore year: 6
Junior year: 8
Senior year: 11
As for now, I’m not sure measures of popularity make any sense outside of the high school context. Popularity emerges from the artificial intimacy of primary and secondary education (which is why the “new kid” can shake things up and become either hugely popular or hugely unpopular) mixed with the insecurity of adolescents (which manifests itself in the form of an unspoken hierarchy that most somehow manage to understand). Once you grow up, these things go away. Not all adults are grown up, of course, so I don’t doubt that some workplaces still exhibit something like a popularity hierarchy. Fortunately, I have managed to leave that behind.
I’m one of those types that can blend with anyone, so I’d say pretty popular. I was friends with the jocks, the cheerleaders and the stoners. I was all of them at one point or another. haha
Hey, it was the 70’s and everyone blended pretty well even if it wasn’t your scene you accepted everyone for who they were.
Besides, after all the redonkulous school roles everyone was just looking for a party. lol

Hm, I was more popular in middle school than high school, I think. Maybe a 6 in high school? More so with the guys. Probably a 9 or 10 if you go by that.
I’m pretty antisocial these days, so I don’t think I could even find a big enough group to measure it by.
In high school… I’d say a 5, popularity was definitely not my thing (loathe the spot light)
Today, who cares?
About 7 in high school. Now, I’d say, does not compute…does not compute
I was popular among my fellow Dungeons and Dragons players. I was ignored by the rest. Suited me fine.
High school, about 2 at best. Now, about 6 or 7.
Eh, I was pretty well-known, not gonna lie. Maybe 8? Partly it had to do with my mom’s involvement in the school and getting to know other students and teachers, and my sister was on the dance team (which were basically the cheerleaders) and everyone seemed to know our family for some reason or the other. I mean, I was outgoing and had a large group of friends (a group that some people would refer to as “popular” sometimes, though we had plenty shit talked about us, so I never really understood that label), so yeah, I guess I was decently popular. It was never a big deal. I probably heard the word “popular” thrown around maybe 2 or 3 times during my whole time in high school. No one ever really talked about it. The movies always seemed to be so exaggerated compared to what I actually experienced.
10 or 15 in high school :)
Pre-High School: 0
I was picked on a lot. Spent most of my time alone.
High School: 6
Going to a vocational school helped a lot. Very little drama compared to the regular hs next door.
Now: Um, my dog likes me.
Why do you have to bring up bad memories? Why, oh why?
All through school – well into negative figures. How low does it go? That’s where I was. Now, I’m not sure. It’s not a negative figure any more.
In school – I was an Untouchable. I had one friend, and I still talk to her online (she lives out of state).
Now – My husband’s in a fairly popular local band. I do okay at my arm candy performances, but you guys are pretty much my social circle. ^_^
I wasn’t popular, not even a scale. I’ve not changed in that respect and I’ve moved home to prove it to myself. Not recommended.
