Has Facebook been down for the majority of the day, today?

I have been able to access it via iPhone and via Blackberry all day.

Not for me.

It’s working fine for me.

It’s alive . . . . Have you tried other sites? Is there a way you can “ping” facebook (69.171.247.64) ?

I’ve been on other sites, including Fluther! For FB I keep getting error message.

It keeps saying “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” or something like that.

Try the “pinging” using the IP address I had above.

Facebook is up

It’s been up for me all day. Perhaps you forgot to pay your bill? :-)

You could have a corrupted link. You may have to clear your cookies and history to clear the problem.

Try logging into facebook from a different browser.

Try a different browser and see if you have the same problem. I’ve been able to log in all day, just logged in a few seconds ago and it works just fine for me. Perhaps it’s your internet connection. Try logging into Facebook in safe mode and see if the problem persists.

The problem I had was from work, and I could go onto other sites. i am going to look into the cookie issue tomorrow and see what I can do, or call a friend for help.

If it was from work then most likely your company has decided not to allow staff to access facebook on purpose. It is not that uncommon for companies to limit the sites staff members can access on company computers.

@Lightlyseared: It worked till mid-day, and at my job the sites that are not allowed will come up with a big red “warning: you are attempting to access a site that blah blah blah.”
