Do men prefer small or big breasts on a slim girl?

I think that all men have their own opinions; what I like may not be what the person sitting next to me likes.
My own preference is smaller breasts – but frankly, you need to use the principles of feng shui when evaluatiing a woman’s body structure. Breasts that are too small are just as jarring as breasts that are too large.
It is the view of the “whole person” that makes the physical appearance pleasant, not just the breasts or the head or the arms.
Bottom line: you can’t generalize. Each person requires the own ‘golden mean’.

If I were single and looking there are quite a few things that would come after personality. Either way, @elbanditoroso is 100% correct.

Maybe we could a little bit of census here on this board. I’m 44 and I prefer big ones. : )
Why would you ask such a thing? That’s like asking “Do men prefer Coke or Pepsi?”
What a ridiculously sexist question. The idea that 50% of the entire population has the same preferences for no reason other than their gender. People are individuals. Individuals have differing opinions and tastes.

I think most people, male or female, prefer boob size to be proportionate to the size of the body.

@Mandeblind that’s not rephrasing. That’s saying the same thing over again. The point is that there IS NO “in general”. People are different.
May I ask why you think this is even a question that can be answered? I mean, do most men prefer Coke or Pepsi?

I would agree with Coke @elbanditoroso, but I’m not a man. It’s only important what a man wants, so we must all try to be what every man would want. So if they all drink Pepsi then I must parade around with a Pepsi in my hand. Even though I hate it. Blech.
Most men I know prefer large breasts over small ones. I definitely do. But, it’s not something very important to me when it comes to whether or not I want to be with a woman.

Speaking for myself, which is all I can really do here, I like a nice, firm, pert handful, not enormous zeppelins, but neither two fried eggs….somewhere just inbetween & i’m as happy as a dog with two dicks.
Most men that I know personally prefer larger ones, I’m not saying most men in general.
But speaking for myself, I don’t think I can offer up a concrete reason why I prefer them, I just know I do. If I were to look at two identical women standing in front of me, completely identical except for breast size that is, I know that the one with larger breasts would appeal to me more. I would be more attracted to her, definitely.

It’s back to basic survival anthropology – cave man days and before. Women with big breasts were considered to be more fertile and more able to care for the broods of offspring that a tribe required in order to survive. Mothers had tens of kids, men had many wives, but for a strategic reason – to make the clan stronger, make the tribe more likely to survive if there were attacks or plagues or animal predation.
Big breasts meant a better maternal provider with a greater likelihood of having and rearing healthy offspring.
Economic conditions (and social conditions) have gotten us largely away from the ‘tribal’ aspect of fertility evolution, but the male love for big boobs is a genetic stamp remaining after tens of thousands of years.
Why don’t women prefer boobs too? It just confuses me. It’s like a “mommy” thing…but if it was, then women would prefer boobs too, because they liked their mommies too!
It should be noted that I don’t ‘pre-select’ women based on breast size. I don’t have a rule that I only date women that are at least a C cup or whatever.
It’s just an icing on the cake sorta thing for me. :)
@elbanditoroso…. The funny thing about human females is…we are the only animal that has breasts that make it appear that we are lactating every minute of our lives. All other animals only have enlarged breasts when they’re nursing their young. I agree with the idea that the people we consider beautiful, we consider beautiful because they are almost perfectly proportioned and that proportion is a flag that says we’re good breeders. Women who are well proportioned will be less likely to die in child birth. Men who are well proportioned will have the best athletic skills needed to hunt and fight.
I wonder what the flag is for other types of animals?
@FutureMemory I know…this has always been an interesting subject for me. As a younger woman I had what was considered an almost perfect figure… 36 – 25 -36. Men just fell all over themselves, and I never quite understood it! I mean, I do, but I don’t.
Men don’t date boobs, they date you. On the odd occassion you find one that does – don’t get involved with them.
It’s really pretty silly to fixate on something that the person had no control over in the first place. If (when) you’re going to judge a person’s worth, it should be on something they can control, like their behavior and attitude. People that obsess over physical attributes make no sense to me.

I never even consider it, but I will try and be as honest as possible. When I think of the perfect woman she is fit with average or smallish boobs.
Occasionally, in daily life, I will notice a fit pretty girl with breasts bigger than the norm, and it strikes me as being extremely aesthetically appealing while in her presence. Then I go back to thinking about fit women with normal or smallish sized boobs when she leaves.
@FutureMemory I so agree. Maybe that’s why it never made any sense to me. They’d talk about being in “love” with me…but they didn’t even know me!

You use the word anthropology but give an answer rooted in biological essentialism, which is not longer accepted as a lens in contemporary anthropology.

Again, what you’re talking about is not anthropology but, more specifically, evolutionary biology. And when you say ‘cave man days’ (which should really be cave people, because men were not the only ones there.), I would appreciate a specific society that you have in mind because there were different groups and not all had the same way of living. I would also, to be understand you, appreciate a time range.

Cave people knew squat about fertility and how that works. They understood breasts are used to feed the young and assumed those with big breasts would do so better. Some contemporary studies show that women with hourglass figures (small waist, bigger breasts when compared to waist, not necessarily huge breasts, though) have more hormones, making them more likely to reproduce but they’re questionable. As you look around, you note that breasts of all size have made it to our time through the millenia because one’s ability to breastfeed has nothing to do with size of breasts.
