What should I not miss in Israel for a week?
Hi,
I’m headed off in a few days for a week in Israel. I am visiting a friend in Tel Aviv, but I will have a few days to travel outside of it. I think she’s planning a day for us at the Dead Sea. Any favorite places for a solo female non-Jew? Do love history. Thanks!

Where do the rich eligible bachelors hang out?
To relax I would say Galilee. (I learned there that Jesus had a resort Ministry.)
For History, Don’t miss the Old City of Jerusalem, The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, David’s Tomb, (for some reason that brought me to tears) and the Holocaust Museum.
There’s lots more, but those stuck out in my mind first. Masada is pretty cool too, and floating in the dead sea.
@Charles Mentioned that for safety reasons. In case anyone was going to suggest “walk around alone late at night in deserted alleyways.”
One of the most memorable places to me was the old fortress city of Acre or Akko near Haifa. If you are going to the Dead Sea, don’t miss Masada and the waterfalls of Ein Gedi. As mentioned, the Old City in Jerusalem is magical. I’ve heard the artist’s village at Safad is magical but have not been there. Y’ad Vashem – the Holocaust memorial museum – is a do not miss. Snorkeling in the Red Sea near Eilat is great. Have a felafal, a shuwarma and iced coffee with ice cream in it. Meet zensky.

PM me for my phone number and I’ll help you out when you get here.
