What is a good time frame for sending out kid’s party invites? Two weeks? Three weeks? A month? More than a month?

I would say 2 weeks. Longer and people tend to forget, less and it may be hard to get around to buying a gift.

How are you sending them out? Mail? At school? If school, I say hand them out on Monday for a party on Saturday or Sunday.

Yes, 2 weeks, but..don’t be surprised when you get no RSVP’s either at all, or at the last minute. lol Used to drive me crazy when my daughter was little, people are so amazingly self centered and neglectful of showing the basic common courtesy of letting you KNOW how many pizzas, party favors, whatever you need to plan on.

I had parents RSVP the DAY of and then want to leave siblings too, just drop the kid off and not show up at the designated end of the party, drop off 5–6 yr. old kids at a Pizza place and not even come in to meet the parents…Gah…amazing!

True that, @Coloma. But you know you wouldn’t trade those times for a million, ka-zillion dollars. I wouldn’t.

@bkcunningham No, I wouldn’t but I remember how frustrating it was. haha

I agree with two weeks. Less isn’t enough time to schedule around all the things children in a family do and more is apt to be forgotten. And I agree with @Coloma plan for people to arrive having not sent an RSVP.

Somewhere in the 2 to 3 week range seems right to me, perhaps with a reminder the week of.

Five to seven days, ten days at the most.
