Who will future generations see as the great creative artist of our time?
The correct answer is Joss Whedon but I am interested in other people’s opinions.

Harry Potter man; Harry Potter.
Very likely it could be someone whose work is currently unknown, or known… and reviled.
Christopher St. Nick. He will always be around.
Steve Jobs was great at marketing, but I don’t see him being remembered as a “great creative artist.”
If you’re talking about literature, though, I vote for Neil Gaiman.
MIlo here: Me, of course. See Why Cats Paint.
MY work has been bringing in record prices at Sotherby’s.
The pixar people, or maybe Sarah Jessica Parker’s stylist.
I think we need to think about art that will endure and continue to be popularized.
Unfortunately @Imadethisupwithnoforethought—experience has tought us that superhero movies do not stand the test of time and in twenty years Joss Whedon’s works will be as outdated to posterity as the original daracula movie or old comics seem to us now.
I think the greatest artists of our time will be those like Picasso and McCartney: Because as much as we’d like it to be Joey Comeau and Nick Henessey these people are not widespread enough, or abstract enough to be known and understood by another time.
@ScurvyChamp It is not just the Avengers, but Toy Story and Buffy and Firefly.
I would buy McCartney. Picasso’s work seems more of a fad than something built to last.
