Maybe you didn’t hear me when I said I was out of cough drops? These new jellies will do ANYTHING to try and get some lurve.
salt water gargle or eat salty stuff
Mix with lots of prayer
Do you have any Vick’s Vapo-Rub on hand? Put it on the bottom of your feet, then throw some socks on. Sounds strange, but trust me. Your cough will vanish.
Lemon/honey tea always works for me. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried Vick’s Vapo-Rub, but that stuff is amazing.
@spendy yea the whole feet thing is pretty weird and i gotta say i doubted it at first, but it does work.
@uberbatman, YEA! someone to vouch for the fact that I’m not loopy! :)
This may sound weird but apparently it works, and doesn’t taste bad at all in my opinion. You take a glass or warm milk and mix it with honey and a SMALL amount of butter. It coats your throat from the start of you drinking it. Worked good for me, even though I was skeptical at first. You should always try something once.
I heard the steam from a hot shower helps.
I recommend Nyquil to everyone for anything. I guess that’s because I love it so much.
Nyquil is the cure to everything…except narcolepsy
uberbatman: For sure. And it doesn’t taste bad either. =]
@allie i only like the green one. Cherry is narsty.
uber: Yeah, I agree 100%. And Dayquil is disgusting, too. I stick to the original, green Nyquil.
Warm bourbon with honey and lemon.
@pup: And if it doesn’t get rid of your cough, you’ll at least get a nice buzz from it.:)
PupnTaco has a good answer. if you don’t have the bourbon or lemon, just a plain spoon of honey helps too.
Speaking of cough syrups, Benylin for children tastes brilliant. I hate how some medicines taste so good. I remember eating a whole tube of Bonjela when I was about ten, and it was all so incredibly tasty until I vomited.
This Polish cough syrup called “Pini”. Always worked for me when I was a kid ;-)
