A friend of mine is Jewish and she has mentioned about being brought up in the Jewish Culture.
I asked my Jewish friend exactly what she meant by growing up in a Jewish culture, here is what she said:
Expectation of being more aggressive and assertive with others
Expectation of academic and career excellence
Stronger interest in the arts, music, cultural events than the general population
Certain social and interpersonal behaviors that are very assertive

What do you think, is there a Jewish culture and are Jewish kids brought up with certain expectations and behaviors?

I think I found the answer…
@Charles: “A friend of mine is Jewish and she has mentioned about being brought up in the Jewish Culture.”
Why wouldn’t there be? Every sub-group of people has their own culture.
If your friend said that there is, why would there not be?
Another dumb que…... fuck it.

I, a full-fledged Jewish American, was taught to be more aggressive and assertive with others with my mother’s milk. (More aggressive and assertive than what?)
There is a very old 16 mm film clip of me at age 4, removing a lollipop from 4-year old Stevie Schuster’s mouth and putting it in my own. Then the band played, the balloons were launched and my entire family cheered for hours. The mayor of the Bronx gave me the keys to the borough and the Rotary Club voted me most “strident little girl of the month.”
I would answer the other allegations but without parallel construction, it’s too much work. Besides, I have to go and bully Milo before his my violin lesson..
