Are you hungover? (I am.)
You can’t plant it deep enough, in my opinion. I’d suggest a cave in Siberia.
“Plant Summer Squash seeds 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 cm) deep, in pre dampened hills, for bushy cultivars: plant 3 to 4 plants per hill, in hills 18 to 24 inches” 2Be Seeds
As deep in my gullet as you can. I love the stuff.
Yes, a couple of inches. Squash is ultra hardy, I have had old squash tossed in a compost pile emerge weeks later with no water, buried deeply.
WAAAAY deep.
Just kidding. My aunt has her own garden, and she says about 3 inches into the soil.
