Can you help me kill this 15 year old ear-worm?

Asked by RocketSquid (3486points) May 10th, 2012

As a kid I used to watch Bill Nye the Science guy every day after school. One episode had a song (not a music video, this was background music) that I can’t get out of my head to this day.

I think the episode was either about a telescope or an observatory. Bill (or one of his guests) would say a few things about the facility, then they’d cut to a few shot of it. During those shots a song played that sounded like it was being sung by a goofy acapella band with lyrics that consisted solely of “ZOT ZOT ZOOBY DOO DAAAH… HOO HOO HOO”.

I’ve been trying to find any trace of this song in any form. Mostly I’ve been looking through the old episodes of BNTSG, but no luck so far. Has anyone seen the episode or know what song I’m talking about?

God, I read that as woman.

I would say search of youtube bill nye soundtrack or OST, it may bring something up, but generally for TV shows they make up something new, and rarely put it out.
