What can I do to improve my memory?
I feel like my memory has gotten dramatically worse and I’m only 26 years old. My short term memory is becoming extremely debilitating and I have a job where I can’t stand out or expect a promotion if I have to constantly rely on my computer to remember names/facts/info/etc.
I am not looking for tricks like mnemonics, there is just too much information to retain to be trying to use a trick on everything.
I am willing to try any experiment, pill, supplement, treatment, etc. I’m not sure, but I believe, some psychology might be involved?
Please, only serious responses would be appreciated. If you can even point me in the right direction.
Thank you!

It get’s worse. Keep a calendar and write everything down.
Edit. Keep a to do list as well. Use all of your technology for reminders. We’re bombarded with so much info it’s not surprising we lose some of it.
It depends on the underlying reason for the memory issue. Many times eating a healthier diet, getting more exercise and drinking enough water can make a huge difference.
Talk to your doctor and ask for tests that might determine the cause so you can fight that.
8 hr of sleep helps a lot.

I genuinely empathize with your concern. Your need to find out if some medical problem or medication you take is the cause of these memory problems.
There is a site where for money you can do fun activities to exercise your brain. If you can afford to join, check out lumosity.com
It is very true that proper nutrition, physical activity and adequate sleep can make a big difference.
I was getting to that point due to lack of sleep.
Memory is a function of relatedness. To remember things you must relate them to other things you already know. Actively try to create relations, even strange or vivid or fictional relations. I’m not sure if this will solve your problem, but it worth a try.
